Passion turned into profession.
I have loved growing flowers for all of my life…
As a little girl, my mom, aunts, and grandmas all grew flowers. One of my favorite flower memories was with my Grandma Shields. We loved to go on walks to collect pretty rocks and wild flowers. Where I grew up, Queen Anne’s Lace grew wild and was considered a pesky weed. I thought it was lovely and Grandma would hold my rocks so that I could pick all of it that my little hands could hold. When we got back to her house, she would pull out her best vase for my bouquet of “weeds”.
Fast-forward many years…
I am now blessed to have a flower farm (where I grow lots of Queen Anne’s Lace). Our farm is located in the rolling hills of the Palouse, which is south of Spokane, Washington.
This is truly my happy place. My husband and I have raised our 4 daughters here and we have quite the collection of farm critters that keep us company. When the sun is setting over the wheat fields and casting a golden glow over the flower farm, I get a glimpse of what heaven might look like.
